The anticipation has been palpable, after a brief postponement, millions of viewers tuned in to Sony’s Playstation 5 reveal stream and they were not disappointed.
This hour-long event provided fans an early look at the games that will come to define the next generation of console gaming, and a surprise look at what the PS5 will actually look like.
Our first impression on the console itself is it must be easily one of the most stunning designs we have seen – look at it!
Coming available in two different variations, a digital-only option and one with a disk slot.
Both are beautiful but price and specs were not revealed…yet. Sony also took this opportunity to show off a few peripherals like an HD Camera, Pulse wireless headset and a media remote.
Do they come as standard? Highly unlikely, but still they certainly look stylish and keep with the white, black, and blue colour scheme.

NBA 2K21 (2K Sports) – 2k Sports joined the party with a first look at the eye-popping sweat physics missing from every other 2K game.
Horizon Zero Dawn: Forbidden West (Guerrilla) – A gorgeous new adventure set in a distant land ravaged by storms and inhabited by large mechanical animals. Follows on from the 2018 PS4 smash hit.
Resident Evil 8 / Village (Capcom) – The return to a first-person perspective will bring a visceral edge to combat. With a greater focus on combat and exploration compared to Resident Evil 7, the village itself is just as important a character as any other, a location with a life of its own that will frequently keep you on edge as he discovers its secrets.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart (Insomniac Studios) – A galaxy-hopping new PS5 adventure from the fan-favourite Insomniac series.
Bugsnax (Young Horses) – A whimsical, narrative-driven adventure. You are tasked with investigating Snacktooth Island, home of the legendary half-bug half-snack creatures. You cannot make this up.
