Straight outta Saudi.
Leaping off the bedroom walls of many an excitable 80s child and onto the streets, Saudi Badr Bin Saud (@b14 on Instagram) has decided to bring some of his favourite hypercars over to London for a quick spin around town.
To say that his collection of dream machines are rare is something of an understatement – these are some of the most prized, coveted and frankly ridiculous vehicles ever…and then each has been bestowed with their own unique detailing to make for an incredible lineup of supercharged carbon fibre, rubber and sinew.
Let’s walk through the vital statistics of each car including that all-important sticker price…if you’re lucky enough to be given the chance to purchase them in some instances.
Lamborghini Veneno Roadster
Top speed: 220mph.
0-60 in: A shade under three seconds.
Rarity: Only nine in the world.
Price: An anonymous buyer recently paid £6.7m for one of these as part of an auction of seized goods from the Vice President of Equatorial Guinea – Teodoro Nguema Obiang – back in 2016.
Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta
Top speed: 217mph.
0-60 in: 2.7 seconds.
Rarity: Only 209 were made of this exclusive open-top variant of the celebratory supercar, created in commemoration of Ferrari’s 70th anniversary.
Price: From £2.2m, but only available to existing Ferrari owners who had to make an impassioned case back to the crew in Maranello as to why you were worthy enough to buy one.
Pagani Huayra Roadster
Top speed: 210mph.
0-60 in: 3.1 seconds.
Price: From £2.4m.
Rarity: Just 100 of these beauties.
Ferrari LaFerrari Coupe
Top speed: 217mph.
0-60 in: An eye-watering 2.4 seconds.
Price: £1.1m, but it’s a hybrid so you’ll be doing your part for the environment.
Rarity: Only 499. Once again only serious Ferrari fans were offered the opportunity to purchase a car whose name literally translates to ‘The Ferrari’.
Porsche 918 Spyder (Weissach Package)
Top speed: 214mph.
0-60 in: 2.5 seconds.
Price: A paltry £715,000.
Rarity: 918 made. Makes sense.
With the Weissach package adding a bit more grunt to the engine as well as giving it a bit of a nip-tuck in the weight department, a significant proportion of buyers opted for this sporty addition, which also added around £60k to the cost of the car.
Koenigsegg Regera
Top speed: Electronically limited to 255mph. Rapid.
0-60 in: 2.8 seconds.
Price: £1.8m.
Rarity: A mere 80 units. Order now to avoid disappointment.
Car enthusiast and internet celebrity Shmee150 was actually able to take the Veneno Roadster for a spin, as well as get up close and intimate with Bin Saud’s stable of four-wheeled unicorns. Check out the video below.
