The New Sustainable Subscription Service From Running Brand ‘ON’

“Cyclon” is the latest new zero-waste initiative from ON to keep our planet clean.

Sustainability is all the rage these days, you’ll know all about it if you’re reading this drinking through a paper straw.

As consumers we’re no strangers to the fight against being more sustainable. All of our favourite brands are doing their utmost to be more ‘green’ and rightfully so.

We’re all for learning about new and innovative ways brands are aiming to tackle the problem and do their bit.

A company we’ve been really interested in lately is swiss-running brand ‘On’, you can read more about the company in the feature we ran on them just recently.

They continue to challenge the status-quo with their high-quality innovative designs and are quickly making a name for themselves within the running community.

The latest project the company have embarked on is ‘Cyclon’. Named after the large circular mass of air, their latest sustainable project aims to go-full circle as a product and have a powerful impact on the industry.

Its essentially a sustainable subscription service but for shoes. The shoes themselves are named the Cyclon. A triple white runner made out of Castor beans (Seriously) that weights under 200g. It’s dubbed the shoe you will never own and that’s because you essentially give every shoe back which will be replaced by a new pair.

So how does it work?

For £25 a month you will subscribe to the Cyclon program via ON. Upon your first deposit, your shoes will be sent to you for you to use to your hearts content.

When they’re reaching the end of their life, you can simply log into your Cyclon account and new shoes will be sent right out to you at which point your old ones will be collected and sent back in the same box.

The old shoes will then 100% recycled and made into more Cyclon runners. Simple enough right?

The Cyclon program is due to launch in the fall of 2021 but you can register your interest and sign up now at https://www.on-running.com/en-gb/cyclon
